THE Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Savannah Roberts, who helped the Hotchkiss Bearcats’ girls varsity team capture another New England championship with a stellar display of singles play in the finals against Andover on May 20.

Roberts, the number two player on the Bearcats, won her singles match in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 10-3.

The Bearcats (15-1) rallied from a doubles sweep at the hands of the Big Blue with five straight victories to bring home its sixth New England crown and first since 2013.

She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Bruno Roberts and the sister of male tennis player Justin Roberts, who recently graduated from the University of South Florida where he starred on their Bulls men’s team.
