Bahamas Baseball Association holds its annual general meeting

THE Bahamas Baseball Association (BBA) held its first Annual General Meeting and Congress since its unification with baseball leagues scattered across the Bahamas.

Delegates from the islands of Eleuthera, Grand Bahama and New Providence - representing Junior Baseball League of Nassau, Eleuthera Baseball League, Grand Bahama Junior Baseball, Grand Bahama Senior Baseball and Community Baseball League - gathered to forge a productive path for baseball in The Bahamas.

Emanating from the business sessions were the following:

• A debrief of the 2018 BBA Nationals - an exciting, robust, more inclusive format was announced for the 2019 BBA Nationals. (TBA)

• Coaches courses and development, continued umpire and scorers clinics, and leagues development.

• National team preparation.

• Membership review/ capacity building, athlete preparation and college placement branding – new logo of BBA.

• Marketing/sponsorship rules and changes

The AGM took the form of a congress where members shared in productive interactive sessions. Baseball is a community united again.
