JAZZ Chisholm homered in game two, but his Visalia Rawhide are now faced with elimination and an 0-2 deficit in the California League Championship series.

With his two-run home run, he finished 1-4, drove in two RBI and scored a run in a 9-3 loss to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in game two of the best-of-five series Wednesday night at Recreation Park in Visalia, California. Visalia took 1-0 lead into the fifth inning, but the Quakes took control for good with four runs in the top half of the frame.

Chisholm and teammate Drew Ellis recorded errors early in the fifth to load the bases with nobody out. Cody Thomas would hit a grand slam to left-centre, to put the Quakes up 4-1 and spoil the final home game of the season for the Rawhide.

The Diamondbacks No.2 prospect, Chisholm homered on a fly ball to centrefield in the bottom of the first inning.

Chisholm went 1-5 in a 5-4 loss in game one Tuesday night.

The venue now shifts to the LoanMart Field, the home of the Quakes for today's game three and also games four (Saturday) and five (Sunday) if necessary. First pitch is at 10:05 local time.

A Quakes win will secure a California League Championship for Rancho Cucamonga and extend Visalia's 40-year championship drought.
