POLICE are seeking the public's assistance to help them find the suspect in a shooting on Thursday night.

According to reports, a man went to the hospital with gunshot wounds all over his body shortly after 3pm. He was reportedly shot in the area of a bar on Dumping Ground corner off Poinciana Drive.

The victim is in hospital listed in stable condition.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested after police seized a quantity of suspected marijuana Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, officers from the Flying Squad Officers conducted a search of a home on Cedric Griffin Street, Montel Heights and discovered the suspected drugs shortly after 3 pm.

The man is expected to be arraigned in a magistrate’s court on Friday.

In other crime news, Mobile Division officers conducted road checks in different areas of New Providence.

In the past 48 hours, police said 13 motorists were arrested for numerous traffic violations, fraud, assaults, stealing, and outstanding warrants. Additionally 88 motorists received tickets for numerous traffic violations.
