My concerns for the year just starting

EDITOR, The Tribune

Concerns as we start a New Year?

1) Why hasn’t Justice Vera Watkins been appointed Chief Justice, and remains in an acting position totally contrary to The Constitution? PM you just went through this process, forgot?

2) Garbage collection - if the Ministry of Environment didn’t know the contracts were to expire, now after the exposé in Freeport over the School Buses this is questioned - can’t the government find enough FNM’s to satisfy the requirement?

3) LPIA Taxi’s - ironic right after Majority Day sees the chaos at. LPIA with over 40 taxis deciding to take a ‘voluntary day-off’! Limos and high capacity SUV’s, if not licenced for LPIA should not be plying their services unless pre-arranged.

4) Finance says we going to speed up annual Business Licence clearly they did not tell The Registrar of Companies to push through receipts for the payment of company licence fees…

5) Freeport School Buses..well attorney Thompson, Deputy Chair of FNM, really blundered and put Minister Lloyd in deep do-do. Out of Freeport the FNM new licences are trying desperately to lease the buses of the previous licences as they do not own buses…you franchise people without buses? Minnis way?
