A 25-year-old Freeport man was charged with attempted murder in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Brandon Grant, of Frobisher Court, was arraigned in Court Two before Magistrate Charlton Smith. He was not required to enter a plea to the murder charge and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until April 1.

In other crime news, Grand Bahama police want to speak with 43-year-old Tavares Demonte Beckford who they believe can help with an ongoing murder and attempted murder investigation.

Mr Beckford, also known as “Foe,” is known to reside at Zimbabwe Avenue in Nassau and Frobisher Circle in Freeport. He is about 5’ 7”, weighing 134lbs with a slim build and medium brown complexion.
