Rave reviews from patrons is the reason “Ladies Night” will become a monthly occurrence at the Fusion Superplex.
The entertainment facility recently launched the new initiative that offers women a safe space where they can enjoy great movies in midst of great company.
The first event highlighted the movie “The Hustle”, which is a reimagining of the 1988 movie “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” starring Steve Martin and Sir Michael Caine.
The elaborate and fun-filled evening focused on women from all walks of life. Guests were treated to a variety of vendors and products that were all about pampering. Among the vendors were John Bull, Bella Mente Spa, Cia Monet Candles, Soaps & Scents, Digital Kafé, Commonwealth Brewery Wines, and Graycliff Chocolates. The ladies were entertained by host Dion Johnson.
“It was originally planned to be a quarterly event, but the women are excited to do this again and have asked for a monthly event. We’re hoping to host another event in the coming weeks,” said Nikolette Elden, chief marketing officer at Fusion.
While the movie for next the “Ladies Night” event has not yer been confirmed, Ms Elden said they are considering showing “Anna”, an action-packed spy thriller being released later in June.
“We wanted to offer women something different. We wanted to create an environment where women can come and enjoy the things that most women can appreciate and love to do in a safe and comfortable, upscale environment,” she said.
Ms Elden said “Ladies Night” was just one of a series of diverse events and initiatives in recent months geared towards spotlighting the importance of Bahamian women.
“The event is an opportunity for our women to escape from the pressures of the day and focus in an environment that was all about them,” she said.
Ms Elden said the tremendous response from their female patrons demonstrates that they should be taken seriously as an ongoing revenue stream.
