Please be advised that contrary to Mr Abraham Moss’ assertion in today’s issue of The Tribune:

Anglicans and Methodists have served in executive positions of The Bahamas Christian Council (BCC). As a matter of fact, a Methodist, the late Rev Edward L Taylor, served as the President of the BCC for a number of years. During his long tenure, the late Canon William Thompson, Rector of St Agnes Anglican Church, also served as a member of the Executive Committee.

Regrettably, the so-called “established” churches, have, over the years, on a consistent basis, seen their membership/attendance at regular services, diminish; while the “newer” more “evangelical” churches, have experienced significant increases in membership/church attendance. As a result, it should not be surprising that the leadership of the BCC would reflect this corresponding change in its leadership composition.
