The Office of the Prime Minister has launched a suggestions platform on its website, opm.gov.bs.
The platform will serve as a central point for the collection of non-health related suggestions related to the national response to COVID-19.
Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis announced during his 13 April National Address that the platform would be established to allow all Bahamians and residents an opportunity to participate in the rebuilding of The Bahamas in a post COVID-19 environment.
“We are looking for ideas and suggestions that will challenge us to take a new look at our old ways and reinvent a brand-new economy and country for all,” said Prime Minister Minnis.
Dr Minnis has stressed that while the country fights against the COVID-19 virus today, it is imperative to put in place plans for an economic recovery that will include as many
Bahamians as possible.
“I wish to advise you that we are consulting locally and internationally to help guide our social and economic response once the immediate health problems are arrested,” the Prime Minister added.
Bahamian academics, historians and researchers are also being invited to provide a more comprehensive perspective on the best way forward.
To send in a suggestion, visit www.opm.gov.bs, select the “Suggestion” tab on the Homepage, fill in the form and click on the submit button.
The Office of the Prime Minister says while all submissions may not be acknowledged in writing, they will be read and where necessary, forwarded to the relevant parties for consideration.

The Tribune should just electronically transfer all of our comments posted to its website over the last 3 months to the OPM's new 'suggestions' website. LMAO

Where on the website is the discussion about the preparedness underway up in prime minister's office should the UN warning playout be accurate **that Haiti** is at risk of widespread famines **of biblical proportions** caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
***We WILL** be talking many thousands fleeing starving setting sail colony's 700 islands and cays. Nod once for yeah, twice for no?

My first suggestion would be that the PM, minister of Health and the senior team at the MOH resign. Incompetence should not be rewarded!

Sometimes all it takes is one bad apple. I suspect that there are many sensible suggestions around the table already. They're probably not being taken up because of who made the suggestion. Just look at how Minnis nips at the reporters **in public**
I'm not sure what they'll do with the info.
I recall a story the Tribune did about shotspotter technology. I remember saying that that thing doesnt make sense, our houses are too close, and its designed for remote areas, by the time command center gets a call 50 people already call to say shots fired.
I then said *but* if it's tied to video and the location signal is sent to the cameras in the area, they zoom in on that spot, the video feed at the command centre automatically switches to that feed that would make sense. It would also stop the crazy deadly car chases. 2 weeks ago (or was it last week..) I heard Marvin Dames repeat that scenario word for word. Do they read? Do they listen? Who knows.
If they do, it might be nice if they gave credit.

… my brother, if a team of doctors cannot handle a medical problem in a way that inspires confidence in their decision making (as covid19 is), then all is lost! It would be a different situation if this were an OECD matter they were messing up!

I sense that all is not well in Camelot. I think we are seeing the result of a two headed monster. I don't believe the hitchy nature of the public action is due to the "health professionals poor planning". Im thinking they provide a complete plan, some of it is discarded making the released plan look cray-cray.The one thing I would cite them for is not knowing the patient had covid. On the surface it seems odd, I'd expect that anyone admitted to a ward (meaning they're staying in hospital) would be tested. It seems logical. I give some room in that I'm not there trying to plug the crack in the wall of defenses with piece of chewing gum...so

Hubert Minnis, Frankie Campbell, Darren Henfield and Elsworth Johnson will each welcome all of the new covid-19 infected illegal aliens with open arms and Minnis will then immediately begin another Dome City project just for them as they await their official papers to be placed on an expedited path to Bahamian citizenship.

Now is the time for sensible suggestions, not griping and grumbling. We have people in this country who can offer some realistic, intelligent suggestions.

So when is the time to simply elect the "sensible" visionary persons with the "sensible suggestions" that are "realistic, intelligent"?
Are we going to return right back to electing a bunch of jackasses?

I am just saying that the 'good ideas' committee and the 'helpful' committee is always a small group, however, the 'critic' committee is always very large and most vocal and scathing.

true! Remember the Israelites was always trying to trap Jesus with his own words.Thats the way it is. Leaders use those critiques and try to win over the critics.

And there's nothing worse and more vocal than a trolling critic of the critics who has no original thought and few, if any, good ideas of his or her own. Especially one who seems to have a comfortable VIP seat on Minnis's gravy train that must be paid for with undying loyalty to the Supreme Authoritarian Ruler, or else!

I hope there is a filter to eliminate all the unnecessary commentary and only acknowledge well intended suggestions. I do believe there are some general consensus on some original ideas that those will be taken seriously. Keep all the griping and insults to forums like this as they serve no other purpose other that taking up valuable space

please. check Facebook that's a multimillionaire dollar company. If you ask for suggestions don't expect everything to be bright and cherry. Some people eill be happy, some will be jaded, some supportive, some angry etc etc. You are not the govt to work for the people who think youre doing a fantastic job. Thats the nature of comments and suggestions. If they're not ready to accept all kinds of input, shut it down now and retool.
As I said people had bad stuff to say about Jesus and they was literally trying to kill him. Understand the nature of the population and prepare for it #emotionalintelligence
