The Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that there are 47 new cases of COVID-19.
The total number of cases now stands at 1,036 with 897 of those active. Thirty people are in hospital. There have been 15 deaths.
Forty of the new cases are in New Providence, five are in Cat Island, one is Abaco and one is in Exuma.
Health officials are reminding the public to practice the following measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19:
• Wear a face mask when you leave home;
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and if soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol;
• Cover your cough or sneeze in your inner elbow or with a tissue; and
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as phones, remotes controls, counters, doorknobs, and keyboards.

is that true though? How many of the number represent repeat tests on one individual? The gentleman diagnosed with kidney cancer spoke of being tested 3 times. There's just so much information that's not being revealed. I feel like the information is being deliberately presented to produce pleasing stats. But that's not what we need. We need realistic analysis. If they had been testing to get that rather than shutting down quarantine centres to present the Mission Accomplished banner,we wouldn't be in this position

you also need to account for exponential increase, at Jul 30 we were 500/4100 a 5 month total. 11 days later you added an additional 500/3000. even this is too simplistic

Sweden 8th in the world at 571 deaths per 100,000.
Norway, which share s hailf the boarder with Sweden, is 78th in the world with 47 deaths per 100,000.
Not so sure Sweden is the way to go. I prefer the way Norway has handled it.

I wonder if yall really read the world news or just pretend to. Everywhere, in fact everywhere that you all have used as examples to prove what we are doing wrong or should be doing, is experiencing second and third waves of outbreaks, whether it be after lockdowns or stringent immigration blocks - like new zealand. Why, because the citizens stop following the protocols, and cases will pop up unless you are prepared to lockdown the place until u force ppl to take vaccines, cases will pop up.

Residents of Florida can travel to Alabama but then self quarantine for 14 days. The same Florida residents can travel to a marina by boat or arrive by aircrft and if staying at a "hotel" can mingle with the staff and other guests; social distancing and mask wearing is not enforced. Good for US residents, bad for Bahamians that went through so much to protect their country.
