The challenge here is the same as in other countries, people don't listen. This is a virus that we can control. The entire country suffers for the actions of a few idiots. Can we implement flogging as a deterrent for non-compliant behavior?

Minnis is the one who most deserves to be flogged in public.

When ya don't listen, you will feel. Our leader was trying to keep us safe but was pressured open this & that. Is our wealth better than our health. He kept saying that he wanted to help protect our people. Now we will reap what we sow.

If Minnis wanted to "protect" bahamians, he should've resigned after his disastrous response to Hurricane Dorian! Also what "leader" gets pressured into opening borders to the Chinese Virus epicenter known as Florida, PM Minnis also allowed the D- citizens to travel to Florida for up to 72 hours and return to the country without needing a Chinese Virus test.
Why do we still have a shortage of tests, ICU beds, and ventilators? Why does our health workers not have proper PPE? Why is Minnis running from the press and not accepting responsibility for HIS actions? Minnis can't protect anybody!

**MINNIS, D'AGUILAR, TURNQUEST, AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS ADMINISTRATION (INCLUDING M.O.H) MUST RESIGN IMMEDIATELY!!! **

Because you don't want to be taxed.

Remember, **a government only has money it has gathered in taxes**. If taxes are kept low, then the government has no money to cope with a global crises such as this.

Please understand how governments function before screaming for them to solve all your problems with magical unicorn solutions.

... we are being taxed and the government borrows heavily., We just don't like politicians wasting the taxes they currently collect, fail to use them for the purposes they collect them for (like VAT) or misuse the monies they borrow!

@HarryWyckoff: You must be a moron if you live in the Bahamas and have no inkling of the many many millions of tax dollars that have been fleeced from the public treasury in recent decades our corrupt governments, including the current one led by the very incompetent Minnis.

The answer has never been more taxes, but rather much much less government corruption. You don't feed a growing cancer to kill it, you starve it! In a perverse way, the Covid-19 pandemic may be a blessing for our country in disguise.

Perhaps if we had a little more wealth we could afford some health or the expensive facilities and equipment needed to support the medical industry. It’s not either or. With out economic activity a country stagnates and health and social issues raise their ugly heads in other ways. Meanwhile CV-19 remains at best a deadly flu for very few but 99% of Confirmed cases a round the world are mild. CFR in the Bahamas is under 2%. Not to mention a larger unknown amount that are asymptomatic.
