I hope MPs now begin to see the danger of these absolute powers and demand an immediate end to the strongman competent authority, spreading the powers to a group of persons. And we don't want a competent authority with handpicked yes men either. We need independent thinkers. We already saw the calamity avoided when a couple people met in secret to execute this illplanned lockdown of the country. We can't afford these abrupt stops and starts.

Things will only get much worse going forward unless the vast majority of Bahamians recognize and accept that there's really little or no difference between the corrupt political elitists behind the PLP and FNM parties. But if someone is on male medical for a broken leg, is asymptomatic for COVID, why include them in hospitalizations? If this they're in hospital makes sense then if someone dies and has COVID it should be recorded as a COVID death, it's the same rationale. Who is doing the thinking?

Why do you remain so infatuated by the obvious incompetence and/or deliberate manipulation behind the Cover-19 statistics for The Bahamas? Don't you remember how the Minnis led government ended up with less than 90 deaths caused by Hurricane Dorian when we all know hundreds and hundreds perished last September both during and shortly after that horrifically devastating Cat 5+ event?

All you really need to know is that corrupt politicians like Minnis and D'Aguilar are very much prone to painting the picture that they believe will best serve their own political interests, as perceived both locally and from abroad.

And Renward Wells as minister of health is certainly no different from Minnis and D'Aguilar when it comes to his inclination to manipulate the facts in an effort to look out for his own political interests above all else.

No! You're the one always doing the politics thing. The rest of us care about what's happening to our family members, ourselves, our businesses/employers and our country as a whole.

I'm sitting here wondering what the conversations would be on this Board if the government hadn't opened the borders last month. I'd probably bet my last Dollar, that we would all be complaining that Minnis and his cronies are useless dictators because they refuse to reopen the borders, even though there hasn't been a new COVID case recorded in 2 months. As they say, hindsight is 20/20.

And you know what they say about people who use the "damned if you do, damned if don't" excuse to justify the foolishness and stupidity of others.
