Two hurt in separate shooting incidents

TWO New Providence men were taken to hospital after they were shot in separate incidents on Sunday, police said.

In the first incident, a group of men were standing in front of a home at Samson Street, Nassau Village, shortly before 7pm when two armed men emerged from a silver Honda Accord and opened fire in their direction. The gunmen wounded one man before running away.

Paramedics transported the injured man to hospital where he was treated and discharged.

In the second incident, shortly before 8pm, a man was walking in the community of Gleniston Gardens when he was approached by a gunman. The victim was shot before the assailant escaped in a dark car. The victim was transported to hospital, where he too was treated and discharged.
