NPBA Playoffs, NPWBA title games called off

THE New Providence Basketball Association’s men’s division I and II playoffs at the AF Adderley Gymnasium has been postponed until further notice.

The case is the same for the New Providence Women’s Basketball Association’s best-of-five championship series that was set to begin on Tuesday night at the DW Davis Gymnasium.

The University of the Bahamas Mingoes could not capitalise off the high from their previous games and fell to the Rockets in the first game on Saturday night at the AF Adderley Gymnasium.

In their best-of-three playoffs that concluded on Saturday night, the Destroyers wrapped up a two-game sweep over the Saints with a 61-47 rout in game two of their series on Saturday night.

The win came after Bees Trucking took game one 67-62 on Tuesday night.

The Rockettes, on the other hand, clinched their berth into the final after they disposed of the BIBT Great Whites 85-55 in the deciding game on Saturday.

Discount Distributors also had an easy time in the opener of the series with a 87-68 decision on Tuesday.
