EDITOR, The Tribune
For those of us who watch TV on WIFI, that familiar circling on screen as the image and sound lags behind due to inadequate bandwidth, it’s enough to drive you crazy. Of course as the peak use hours surge and retreat, you know that a few more users have connected to the network.
Imagine if every time your neighbours turned on their A/C your electric power dipped and the lights would dim, you would be on the telephone so quick to complain to BPL. At least with BPL, if it did happen, the electricity would not go through your meter and you would not be paying for it. Not so with Internet ! You sign up for 30 Mega Bits Per Second and if you are the only one on the line you might get it, but if you are sharing that 30 Mbps with one or one thousand other consumers, then you will get commensurately less. Yet, unlike BPL the meter is on the Internet suppliers front door, and not on yours. You pay for what goes through their meter.
Junior Roberts is complaining all the time about the Price Control people, why don’t they (Price Control) have a look at Internet Supply Control.

It is called fraud in most of the world. But not here. I have 10 years of complaints to URCA. Nobody seems to care that BTC is defrauding Bahamians. It will only get worse..

In total agreement Porcupine, please include Cable Bahamas on that list of companies that doesn't deliver on what they're selling you.
