This is so sad. The families of those killed in this traffic accident will be irrevocably changed. In Sweden it costs tens of thousands of dollars (Krona) and years of instruction and practice to gain a driving license. Sweden has some of the most challenging weather conditions in which tom drive, despite this the country has one of the lowest traffic accident rates per capita of any country in the world. In the Bahamas for many years it would cost fifty dollars and a corrupt RTA contact. Is there a connection? Condoloncies to the families.

Beyond the ease and corrupt culture in the Bahamas, of obtaining a driver's license, the more critical and important government obligation of the annual fitness/roadworthiness inspection of vehicles is seen as unnecessary and a burden on Bahamians.

Very sad indeed. Why does the government not take the loss of lives on the road as seriously as the loss of lives from Covid?
