TWO men were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs in Freeport on Monday.

Supt Terecita Pinder reported that shortly after 11am Flying Squad officers were on mobile patrol in the Limewood Lane area where they saw a 2010 Nissan Altima parked partially in the middle of the road, obstructing traffic.

Ms Pinder said two men were in the vehicle and when officers approached, they smelt a strong aroma of marijuana. During a search, officers reportedly discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana.

Supt Pinder said both men were arrested and are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrateā€™s Court this week.

WHEN the weed is finally legalized for small quantities, it would be a good idea to prohibit driving or operating machinery while under its influencešŸ˜‚

I'm confused here. Did they find marijuana, or dangerous drugs?

maybe just give them a traffic citation next time? 3 strikes lose the license, drive without a license get a $5,000 fine or 6 months jail time. But our lawmakers aren't that intelligent in the Bahamas. D- strikes again.

Partially in the middle of the road? You mean pulled over to the side of the road. A vehicle can't be half in the middle of the road so this sounds like the police justifying the fact that they had no probable cause to approach these men.
Weed makes you less motivated and alert. Dangerous drugs are what the Doctor/dealers in BMWs wearing suits on Wall St. sell. Oxycotin, Vikadin, Fentanyl, Ridlin...... they kill thousands per year in the US alone.
