Red-Line team in action in Florida

THE Red-Line Athletics Track Club took a 32-member team, accompanied by 20 parents to the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Club Championships over the weekend in Satellite Beach, Florida where they turned in some credible performances.

Head coach Tito Moss was extremely proud of the team’s performances and noted that they are looking forward to going back next year. He said it was a good international meet to help the athletes get through the Covid-19 pandemic that has hampered most of their season.

Leading the way for Red-Line at the meet was Jousha Miller, who came in fourth in the 200 metres final in 21.44 seconds. Otto Laing picked up a third place finish in the 110m hurdles in 14.28 and Shimar Bain was fifth in the 400m hurdles in 54.67.

Red-Line boys 18-and-under 4 x 100m relay team of Brandon Hutchinson, Otto Laing, Shimar Bain and Joshua Miller came in third in 41.35.
