What a complete waste of time, money, and police resources. And now several more thousands will be expended on a trial which will achieve absolutely nothing. I do have to congratulate the fearless officers who carried out this important and daring raid to help protect us all from these suspected dangerous gummy bears..

Probably bought them in the US. You know they legal in quite a few states.
Kinda like prohibition back in the day liquor legal in the Bahamas but banned in the US.

well, it is still illegal because parliament spent the last 4 years debating and passing laws for the rich europeans money and then giving the power to Minnis for covid. they haven't had time to deal with any of the real work that the people asked for. Like FOIA, Land reform, bloated civil service, etc. Decrimilinazation still just talk. but at least they got passport renewals online finally in 2021, congrats.

Pretty sure at least 50% of American tourists between the age of 17 and 70 are traveling into the Bahamas with some kind of legally bought (in the USA) pot products in their suitcase. Forget edibles, they are putting CBD in body lotion now. And ! it is widely known that the TSA is not checking for this stuff so I would be surprised if half of these tourists even knew they were breaking the law. But hey, if this guy is Bahamian, why not treat him like a third-class citizen and make an example of him :?
