Make masks and vaccines mandatory

EDITOR, The Tribune.

A BIG debate in the United States erupted recently when a state school ruled that any student attending that institution of learning had to wear a mask.

In other words no “ifs” “ands” or “buts‘‘ about it – just as the student had to have a certain grade to be accepted at the school so did each child have to come wearing a mask to protect them, their classmates and teachers from the deadly COVID pandemic. If parents were not going to protect their children from the killer that is no respector of persons, then the school would replace the parental authority to protect all of them while on its campus by requiring that all mask up – or not be admitted.

However, I am sure that if a child had a particular medical problem, the school would have discussed it with the parents and a remedy would have been found to dismiss the mask. However, the general rule – no mask, no school – come and have a discussion or look elsewhere for education. This seems to be a reasonable position to take, if only for the greater good of all. But, oh no, there must be a fight – the health of hundreds of children is to be jepordised – even to the point of death – because these parents want to protect their constitutional rights to have the last say in the upbringing of their own children. All, I say is it’s all well and dandy – but if you want it your way go and start your own school with like-minded parents. These are the rules of this particular school – it’s a take it or leave it situation. If you don’t like the rules, go look elsewhere.

I recall many, many years ago the big argument over school uniforms here in Nassau. I don’t remember what elementary school it was, but there was a big argument over the outlandish hairstyles of the budding teenage girls. It was explained that the background to the uniform was to equalise the students — the parent who could afford more would not be in a position to dress up her little girl in eye-catching dresses that would distract the class. In a uniform they were all equal and their concentration was on their books and the teacher and not what the little girl in the next seat was wearing. And then hairstyles became the issue. The styles and the arguments became so outlandish that it made news in the press.

In the end I recall the school also taking over a young lady’s hairstyle. They soon understood that they had come to school to put education in their empty brains, and not to see who could out do the other in hairstyles.

Now we have a killer pandemic roaming the world and taking off too many citizens who are refusing to take the vaccination and wear masks.

For me the rising number of deaths from COVID should be reason enough to make vaccinations and masking mandatory. If a person has a special condition that this would be a problem, then with their doctor’s advice they can discover the best way to protect themselves and others.

Other than that the debate is over. A killer roams the world. Either make sacrifices to stop it in its tracks, or reserve a plot in the nearest cemetery. The choice is yours.

"For me the rising number of deaths from COVID should be reason enough to make vaccinations and masking mandatory." Masking yes, but vaccination no. Masking yes, because it helps to stop the spread with little to no impact of the user of the mask. With the vaccine there are still unknown health risks and it doesn't stop the spread of covid. Taking a vaccine without long term studies is a risk to the user. That risk has to be optional, not forced. I took the vaccine because I accept the risk, but I cannot force another to do the same. You mentioned schools in the US. I agree that as a private institution, a school can make whatever requirements they want, and you have a choice as an individual to accept those terms or go elsewhere. However, Biden is now overstepping his authority by mandating that private businesses require vaccination or weekly testing, if they have more than 100 employees, or face heavy fines. No government should ever be allowed to do this. This should be up to the businesses themselves. If so, the next time they may mandate something that you don't agree with.

... the writer obviously does not know that most of these shots do not give immunity, they simply encourage antibody production which is why boosters are needed after 2 months. It is also why the"vaccinated can still get and spread covid and it now seems likely that the "vaccinated" may encourage the development of more dangerous strains of the virus.

So no. I'll make my choice about what I put in my body, if only to stop the spread of these authoritarian tendencies that exist!

Vaccine mandate is leading to new Civil War in the USA, the land of free choice to determine one's religion, politics or sex. A first for the Land Of The Free. Even vaccinated Americans will never burn their holy grail sacred constitution. But who knows. They have already destroyed their epic historical statues that cemented their 245 history of Independence, and more years upon the conquered indigenous natives. Something is happening in America. We cannot judge Biden's decree yet. He is walking America into a dangerous unknown space. The vaccine is currently about nine(9) months old into human testing. We don't know Bahamian reaction yet to third and fourth boosters to keep the vaccine working as non vaccinated persons who had covid are still wise and healthy. At least those in authority have found new wisdom in revealing the way forward is to assume self protection by sanitary means and not to judge the invisible, as CDC revealed months ago even the vaccinated spread Covid. Most countries are dropping their proof of vaccination because it protects no one not even the vaccinated. Many Bahamians who have lost their way of life, independence, homes and unable to take care of dependents, their mental and physical health has deteriated and waned to the point of becoming susceptible to Covid. Any means of survival has become the new normal touted and promised by the dictator March 2020. Premium pumpkin, banana, peas and rice are going for enough to last a day.

You're right about the situation in the USA.
The new abortion restrictions in Texas even allows for neighbours and other members of the public to turn in those who had abortions.

There are 10 articles to the Nuremberg code. The proposal above violates several tenets of even the first one, as below:

ARTICLE 1 NUREMBERG CODE

> The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion, and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment. The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.

Africa has a population of 1.4billion people. Seems gates today with WHO last week are having difficulties there selling and mandating vaccine shots to a mostly healthy population. Frustrated probably that Covid is maximally monitized against nations he hints at even more deadly fears.

Gates & WHO don't need to worry about Africans dying from Covid. Africans do a much better job of killing one another off than any virus could possibly do, just look at actions of their descendants in this country, death by murder far outstrips death by Covid in this town hands down. And you really need a more credible news source that your Russian State run media outlet!

Anyone with a modicum of reason knows that all melanated countries and melanated peoples are kept in disarray and subjection by the banksters and their secret services (mossad, cia, mi6, etc). The armies of the so called civilized developed nations occupy melanated countries to act as enforcers for the banksters. Your statement about melanates is propaganda. See link for real history

Last time I checked, our melanated brothers in Africa and indeed here at home were doing a pretty fair job of keeping the rest of us melanated people in disarray and subjection without any help from the so called civilized nations. Bahamians, as did the African Africans, simply exchanged mighty whitey for mighty melanated. I think we would all agree that Zimbabwe, Eritrea and Somalia are shining examples of melanated leadership.
Can't say for sure if they're banksters but a lot of them here and abroad are sure as hell gangsters. Tribalism & nepotism still flourishes in just about all of Africa, as it has long before the Arabs or Europeans ever set foot on that weary and bloody continent. It flourishes here too in our politics and home grown black crab syndrome, in this country no one treats black people worse than other black people.
