TWO Inagua men were charged in the Magistrate’s Court on separate drug charges after being found with $10,000 and $5,000 worth of Indian hemp respectively.
Rian McQueen, 39, of Matthew Town, Inagua, faced Magistrate Samuel McKinney on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.
On August 5 in Matthew Town, McQueen was found with 10lbs of Indian hemp. The confiscated drugs have an estimated street value of $10,000.
In court, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted $6,500 bail with one surety.
McQueen’s trial is scheduled for October 17.
Victino Knowles, 41, also faced Magistrate McKinney on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.
On August 7 in Matthew Town, Knowles was arrested after he was found with five lbs of Indian hemp worth an estimated $5,000.
He pleaded guilty to the charge.
The magistrate ordered Knowles to pay a $3,000 fine or risk nine months in prison.
