Stand up against madness

EDITOR, The Tribune.

The sporting federations, the Olympic Associations, and fellow sportsmen, now is the time to let your voices be heard before all the benefits of sports are lost and destroyed.

We cannot allow a person who is confused about who they are, and the way God made them to destroy sports.

Males compete against males, and females compete against females. There is an article in one of the local newspapers today (February 10, 2022), about a swimmer who did not like losing as a male, and so decided he wanted to win instead as a female.

The swimmer is a Mr Will (Lia) Thomas who swam for Penn State for three years as a male, and then after getting beaten and being ranked 462 on the men’s ranking, decided he wanted to win by competing as a female, and so after he competed one more “grueling season” as a male, which he says “caused a lot of distress”, he now switches to be ranked number one as a female.

God made us all with different abilities and talents, and we cannot all be a Usain Bolt or a Michael Phelps.

Be a man and be content at being the best you can, and not trying to rob a woman from her hard work and dedication.

Tennis great Martina Navratilova said, “It is not fair for women to race against transgender Lia Thomas”.

Even Bruce Jenner (who now calls himself Caitlyn) who I watched at the Olympics that I competed in (76 games in Montreal) says, “we need to protect women’s sports”.

Michael Phelps says “I think sports should be played on an even playing field”.

Is that not the same reason that the East Germans were banned from sports, because they were taking performance enhancing drugs?

Do not let transgender-minded people cheat women out of sports, stand up and speak out while it is still day.

If you love your country and your sport, be courageous and take a stand.
