GRAND Bahama Police discovered illegal ammunition and dangerous drugs this week in the Freeport and Eight Mile Rock areas.

According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Stephen Rolle, the first discovery occurred shortly after 2pm on Tuesday in Coral Gardens, Freeport.

He reported that officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on intelligence, went to a track road in Coral Gardens, where they discovered a black microwave. When officers checked the appliance, they found (33) .357 live rounds of ammunition and a quantity of suspected marijuana.

ASP Rolle said no arrest was made and the items were taken to the Drug Enforcement Office for further investigation.

In a separate incident yesterday, he said a team of officers from Predator Unit, acting on information, went shortly after 4pm to a bushy track road in Seagrape, Eight Mile Rock where they searched the area and discovered under a tree stump, a large black plastic bag, containing a quantity of suspected marijuana.
