‘Phased return to normal’ for PMH

THE Princess Margaret Hospital has commenced a phased return to normal hospital services while continuing to ensure the safety of patients and staff in the current COVID19 environment.

The following specialty clinics have employed a hybrid model of face-to-face and virtual appointments effective February 21: medical clinic; surgical clinic; orthopaedic clinic; infectious disease clinic; chest clinic; paediatric clinic; ENT clinic; gynaecology clinic; dental clinic; ophthalmology clinic; oncology clinic; and the Agape (Family Medicine) Clinic.

Patients requiring appointments to these clinics should e-mail a copy of the referral or discharge letter to appointments @ pmh.phabahamas.org or send via WhatsApp a clear copy of the referral or discharge letter to telephone number (242) 808.9972.

PMH also said that visitations will begin effective today as follows: limited visitors list for ICU and NICU will continue; paediatrics visitations will be limited to mother and father only, one visitor at a time; on general wards, two visitors are permitted for clients aged 65 and above, one visitor at a time with a 15-minute time limit, with one of those visitors being the legal next of kin.

Visitors will be managed via the Critical Care Block entrance where they will be required to check in and obtain their passes. Visiting hours are 6pm to 8pm daily.

The US has started relaxing it’s vaccine requirement laws for some businesses. Is this the end of Covid-19? Mass events such as the super bowl was held with no major outbreaks. The only significant difference was persons were required to wear mask.

Phased Return To Normal is good, but we need a good and dedicated management team in place. A management team that is not only there for the first few days, and afterwards everyone goes back to their don't care attitude.I know its not easy to reverse decades of poor customer service, laziness and low morale in the public service. Not all civil servant fit this profile, The majority or thousands of civil servants are are hard working, dedicated employees who come to work on time and never able to leave on time because of their dedication. P.M.H
have some of the hardest working employees in the country, but the one or two hundred good for nothing unemployable workers make the institution look bad. A new Phased Return To Normal is a good start.

Omicron busted the myth of any possible herd immunity being possible as 100% vaccinated at a micro level on all Cruiseships proved its deceit then at the macro level 100% vaccinated nations like Iceland,Israel, UK and Denmark realized the futility of vaccines opting now for simple health precautions. But the big global people are shielding the results of forced experiamtal vaccines on humans. They have the medical data and are afraid to release it. I have read some. And not nice.
