A MAN was fined $200 in a Magistrate’s Court yesterday for possession of dangerous drugs.

Adrien Hall, 26, stood before Senior Magistrate Samuel McKinney to receive his penalty.

On June 16, officers on mobile patrol stopped the suspect on Sun Road in Gamble Heights. After police searched the accused, they uncovered 19 grams of Indian Hemp.

Hall then admitted to authorities that he had purchased the drugs for $80 for his personal use. This led to his arrest and the $290 on his person being seized by police.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charge in court.

After Prosecutor Inspector Timothy Bain revealed that Hall has two prior drug convictions for which he was fined $2,000 and $700 respectively, the magistrate once again imposed a fine on Hall.
