A MAN was granted bail in a Magistrate’s Court yesterday for allegedly attacking another man with a glass bottle.

Samuel McCoy, 32, stood before Magistrate Kendra Kelly on charges of grievous harm and assault with a dangerous instrument.

On June 27 at Mackey Street, the accused allegedly attacked Lorenzo Davis with a glass bottle causing him serious injuries.

McCoy pleaded not guilty to both charges.

As there was no objection to bail, it was granted to the accused at $4,000 with one or two sureties. Under the conditions of his bail McCoy is expected to sign in at Wulff Road Police Station every Wednesday by 6pm.

The defendant’s trial is set to begin on August 23.
