Rugby is back at Winton

THE Bahamas Rugby Union has announced that rugby is back at the Winton Rugby Pitch.

After two years on the shelf, rugby is coming back and with many of the COVID-19 restrictions being relaxed, the BRU is now look forward to the return of the sport they say they love.

The board members, including chairman Adam Waterhouse, vice chairman Charles Smith, treasurer Shane Gardiner and secretary Kassim Williams, have indicated that they are looking forward to putting in some exciting events for the players and spectators.

From April 23-24, the Bahamas men’s national team is slated to play host to an international tournament that will played at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium.

A total of 15 men’s and women’s teams will compete for the chance to qualify for the Rugby World Cup 7 and Commonwealth Games 2022.
