THREE senior staffers at the Office of the Prime Minister have tested positive for COVID-19.
They are Director of Communications Latrae Rahming, Press Secretary Clint Watson and Senior Speech Writer, Policy and Communications Advisor Ian Poitier.
In a statement Friday, OPM said both Mr Rahming and Mr Poitier tested positive for the virus ahead of a work-related travel commitment on Thursday.
Following the initial positive result, as a precaution, other members of staff took COVID tests and received negative results.
Among them was Mr Watson.
However, despite that initial negative test ahead of Thursday’s OPM press briefing, Mr Watson tested positive on Friday via a rapid antigen test.
All three staffers were said to be currently experiencing mild symptoms of COVID-19 and are following the advice of the Ministry of Health and Wellness and other healthcare professionals.
They are also isolating according to the guidelines of the Health Services rules.
Contact tracing is underway, the statement said, and so far there have been no other positive test results.

Time for the doctors to hit the alarm button. Let's lock the whole country down, out of abundance of precaution of course. Civil cervants can still get paid while they are "working from home."

This virus is the smartest virus in history. It knew which were the senior staff versus the junior. Incredible. It's smarter than us and deserves to win.

Meanwhile, coward Davis has likely fled The Bahamas in fear of having been infected with COVID-19 so that he be evaluated at a first-class hospital in the U.S. He will no doubt tell us that his daughter, who is a medical doctor in the U.S., insisted he do so because of his elevated risk of serious COVID-19 illness due to his age and high obesity index. And don't we all wish we could be so lucky to have access to such excellent medical care abroad at the Bahamian taxpayers' expense.

Covid has been a dangerous money maker for medical stock exchange at the expense of private and public resources. In the Big Country the News Media and Pharma Medical are owed by the same Stock Shareholders. The Tourism industry, of Taxis, Planes, Hotels, AB&B, Restaurants, hustlers, and USA/North American travelers are alarmed and angry at our Covid restrictions, having already flown on planes and living across the globe mask-less and in our hotels, the same, must must be robbed by the medical mafia to walk the streets that it is a parade. Such glaring medical hostage taking blackmailing stupidity. six thousand hotel rooms booking are already lost and pointless Junkanooers prepare for parade only to face the same medical industry demanding covid VAT tax in the form of permanent testing.

Bill Gates already said they knew as early as Feb 2020 that it was a disease of the elderly.
I will never again have confidence in doctors.
Alway knew they were money grabbers, the exceptions are spineless.

Covid has increased in forty states in the US. Washington is one of the hardest hit states and a large number of cases can be associated with travel. Anthony Fauci is calling for officials to reinstate mask mandates, especially indoors. Yet this government remains silent on the relaxed masks rules in hotels and obviously blind to the dozens of tourists that walk through downtown without masks . Officials are reporting that the new variants are resistant to ALL vaccines and, according to officials, persons who already had omicron are being reinfected. Because the symptoms are usually mild and hospitalizations and deaths remain relatively low, persons are behaving as if the pandemic is over and ignoring all the Covid safety protocols.

What they are really not saying is that the re-infections began with persons who got vaccinated or re-vaccinated after recovering from omicron

This is no longer a virus airborne, it is simply the vaccinated spreading covid because they cannot understand that the vax is the virus and they should have a longer period of isolation before they assume being vaxed means they are cured and super human.

Maybe Dr Don’t Abe sands can explain what he wants Bahamians to vaccinate against, since all current vaccines are ineffective against new strains and are only effective for six months in any event. And they he public has been advised NOT to take the J& J vaccine unless it is the only one available.
