Bahamians second-class?

EDITOR, The Tribune.

As the ongoing allegations are being made by Leader of the Opposition FNM Party Michael Pintard concerning 65 Chinese who were doing construction without having work permits because their work permits had expired, Leonard Sands the Bahamian Contractors Association President BCA called for greater transparency and management in the work permit controversy over irregularities involving Chinese Construction workers published in The Tribune newspaper and Lincoln Bain the Coalition of Independents Leader said his party may seek Judicial review of the Davis Administration Immigration activities.

I have a comprehensive immigration plan that will implement the Bahamianisation policy, Bahamian workers first in getting jobs from companies, government and hotels. Bahamian workers first in getting Government contracts, have Immigration Officers visit all companies, hotels and Government Corporations BPL, Bahamas Air and Water and Sewage to get a count on how many thousands of foreign nationals are working in the Bahamas. Then I will, as the next Prime Minister of the Bahamas, give a National address on ZNS TV evening news, all radio stations, shared it with The Tribune newspaper and Nassau Guardian that effective with my Government I will begin to immediately reduce thousands of employed foreign nationals working in the Bahamas for companies, government and hotels.

Will discontinue giving out and approving work permits for companies, government and hotels, hotels, because the Bahamas first is for Bahamian workers and foreign nationals will not get the rights to have better jobs, better pay and better living accommodation in the Bahamas than Bahamian citizens who should not be second class citizens who were born in the Bahamas should be given all of the best jobs in order to make a living to pay rent, house mortgage car, electric bill, water bill, private school fees for children and buy groceries for family. I will give all foreign national workers notice that they will have to leave The Bahamas because my Bahamianisation comprehensive plan and policy will take effect to remove thousands of foreign nationals from hotels, government corporations and companies in being replaced by Bahamian workers.

I want to express that for 50 years both the FNM Government and PLP Government failed the Bahamian people by allowing hotels, companies and the Government Corporations to bring in thousands of foreign nationals to work in the Bahamas, but I will put an end to it from continuing as the next Prime Minister of the Bahamas, One people, One Nation, One Bahamas and One God - onward forward and upward to a better Bahamas, help is on the way soon - Pedro Smith Chosen One.
