Police on New Providence confiscated an unlicenced firearm and a quantity of ammunition on Wednesday.

According to reports, at around 11.45am, officers attached to Operation Ceasefire, acting on information, proceeded to a vacant property in Elizabeth Estates where they discovered a brown bag which contained a bronze homemade pipe gun with four live .22 rounds of ammunition.
