Man accused of murder granted $10,000 bail after failing to charge ankle monitor

A MAN on bail for murder was granted $10,000 bail after he was accused of failing to charge his monitoring device and breaching curfew multiple times.

Magistrate Algernon Allen, Jr, charged Shanfano Dean, 27, with seven counts of violating bail conditions.

Alphonso Lewis represented the accused.

Dean was was already out on bail on a pending murder charge for the fatal shooting of Jerone Thompson in a home on Albury Street on March 28, 2020.

Dean allegedly failed to charge his court-ordered monitoring device and breached his residential curfew seven times between June 26 and September 5.

After pleading not guilty to the charges, Dean was granted $10,000 bail with one or two sureties. His trial begins on October 31.
