Mom ‘didn’t want gender identity to be distraction’

TAYLOR Casey’s mother said she was hesitant to reveal her daughter’s transgender identity because she did not want it to distract from efforts to find the missing Chicago native.

Colette Seymore told NBC: “It wasn’t that I wasn’t gonna bring it up. I just took my time in doing so because I know how people are and the news media, how they switch focus from finding my child, a human being missing, into, oh, LGB, transgender. I’ve seen it done in the news before and that’s not the focus. The focus is finding Taylor for me.

“My child is transgender and has been for a while and proud of being transgender.”

Ms Casey was last seen in the Paradise Island area on June 19. She was in the country for the Sirvanada Ashram Yoga Retreat. Yoga Retreat Bahamas said her disappearance was noticed on June 20 when she failed to attend morning classes.

Emily Williams, one of Ms Casey’s friends, said she was the only black and transgender person in the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat and was isolated.

However, Peter Goudie, the CEO of PGHR Consulting, said the retreat would not have asked her about her transgender identity.

“The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat does not discriminate with anybody,” he said. “If some of the guests are doing something, we can’t control them.

“It doesn’t make any difference if she was transgender or not. She’s a guest, a paying guest.”

Loved ones held a press conference yesterday in the US on Ms Casey’s 42nd birthday.

Kennedy Bartley, the managing deputy of external affairs in the Chicago mayor’s office, expressed the mayor’s office’s commitment to fighting to bring Ms Casey home.

During the press conference, Ms Seymore said she wants senators to “light a fire under the people in The Bahamas feet” so local officials can “correctly search” for her daughter.

Mr Casey's 42nd birthday has become a point of contention. His mother insists on his return to Chicago despite Mr. Casey being a 42-year-old adult capable of making his own decisions. The Bahamian public has requested a male likeness of Mr. Casey, who is a transvestite, but family and friends have refused to provide one. The narrative surrounding his gender identity has been confusing, with references to him as "my daughter" and suggestions that the Bahamas played a role in his disappearance.

There is an implication that Mr Casey, depicted as a female child in some reports, went to the Bahamas, where he encountered some misfortune, resulting in his disappearance. The phrase "light a fire under the people in The Bahamas' feet" has surfaced, suggesting that there should be a sense of urgency in resolving the situation. Some Bahamians have even indicated that senators investigate the backyards of Colette Seymore and Emily Williams in search of clues about the missing person.

Thats right. A visitor is missing in our country and we should only discuss their identity. that's all that matters, not that they are missing. If a Bahamian goes missing somewhere i would hope that the people there would help look for them. here no one did , we just decided to discuss their identity and pretend as always that no wrong can happen here

A Visitor is Missing

The alarm was raised when a 42-year-old visitor was reported missing after leaving his last known location at a Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island. It is believed that he may have intentionally left his phone behind due to personal family issues and has chosen not to be disturbed.

Despite extensive searches conducted by resort staff, security personnel, and local authorities, the visitor remains unlocated.

Security protocols have been heightened, and all entry and exit points are being closely monitored. Visitors and staff are requested to report any sightings or information that may assist in locating the individual. The management is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and visitors.

Further updates will be provided when the family offers more information to authorities and concerned locals. There remains a dark shadow regarding the true identity of this individual, who is a transvestite male or biological male.

Knowing Taylors gender would have had zero impact on locating her. She is tall 5ft 10, extremely thin, 150lbs at 5'10" is skin and bones, she has light brown skin, and she has an American accent she would stand out on any of the Bahama Islands

Taylor's phone was found in 50ft of water. That's DEEEP water. That's far far far from shore. A shark could get there, a jetski or boat could get out there and someone drop a phone, and anything else. One thing is for sure, the phone didnt get there by accident. Could she have voluntarily gone into the water? Could she have taken the passport so she could be identified? Possible.

If she had travelled anywhere outside the country she would have had to submit to an eye scan and a fingerprint scan. If she had stayed in country, she would have stood out dressed as a man or a woman because she's tall and thin and a stranger with an American accent.

I dismiss out of hand any suggestion that she came to the Bahamas to disappear. For reasons stated above she cant disappear here. So she took a smuggler boat to go back into the US illegally to disappear??? She could have taken a comfortable flight and disappeared in any of 50 states.

I dont believe Taylor left the vicinity of Paradise Island, but I could be wrong.

Please dismount your high horse for a moment. "She is tall, 5ft 10, extremely thin, 150 lbs, with light brown skin and an American accent. She would stand out on any of the Bahama Islands." This description represents approximately 40% of the 30,000 visitors to the Bahamas each day. Your description also aligns with many Bahamians from Nassau and our family islands, highlighting your ignorance about the Bahamas.

If a person is weary of people trying to push a 42-year-old man in a direction and lifestyle that he now rejects, along with an overbearing mother who still perceives him as "her child" or "daughter," understandably, frustration could lead to actions such as ditching the phone.

I will repeat this: you are projecting an image of a female conforming to your homosexual narrative. While the Bahamian public is being asked to assist, there is a noticeable stubbornness and refusal to acknowledge that while you uphold a narrative to support your agenda, Mr Taylor's reality may currently not align with your expectations and the image you want to project. Therefore, I urge you again to reconsider your stance and acknowledge the potential disconnect from what you perceive as reality, which may differ from Mr. Taylor's current experience.

I thought you described yourself as a donkey the last time you asked me to get off your back. But I'll work with you, you've *transitioned* to a high horse

The singular difference between Taylor and the "thousands" of others whom you say have the same general description is, her picture is plastered everywhere. The entire Bahamas is talking about her and nosey Bahamians, especially in the family islands, looking at every tall, extremely thin, pale person saying is that Taylor, they just show up here in June too! Taylor could not disappear here. The one piece you forgot is, she stood out, even at the yoga retreat. Someone would recognize her dressed as a man or a woman

Unlike yourself with the clearly homophobe agenda, I have no agenda other than wanting another **human being** who's missing to be found. How that individual choses to represent themselves I couldnt care less. Its also taxing to refer to Taylor as they, disrespecting Taylor to use him, using her is easier and literally takes nothing from me. I didnt lose a single cent on the effort. Do you know what's really weird though, if Taylor lived as a man but had effeminate qualities, you and your buddies would have no difficulty harassing Taylor and using *she* and *her* to describe Taylor.

What other people chose to do behind closed doors, as long as its legal, doesnt threaten me. My sexuality isnt threatened by a man who decides that their true identity is female and they want to wear a dress, I'm sorry for you that your sexuality is. People are on this planet to do a *thing*, a *work*, all of this other nonsense is just that.

Okay, now I understand. You have a disposition and trouble comprehending simple English, so I'm not surprised.

When I mentioned "Dismount Your Donkey," I referred to the biblical passage in Numbers 22:21-39 (New International Version) about Balaam’s talking donkey.

Additionally, my request was straightforward: I asked for a recent photo of Mr. Taylor's male likeness. There was no mention or implication of any agenda.

For the first time, a story today hinted that she may have been treated badly at the yoga retreat. I was surprised to hear Peter Goudie make the statement they ~"*cant tell people how to act*", more like shocked. It was the first hint that this trip may not have been pleasant. Could that have any bearing on where Taylor is.

Why would a 100-year-old Yoga Retreat, an international institution managed by Americans (not Bahamians), mistreat a fellow American? Your claim seems unfounded, and you are grasping at straws. If the concern were genuine, you or the family could have already published a true likeness of the person in one of the two major Bahamian publications. It's time to come clean and make amends with Taylor, as it is evident there are unresolved personal issues between Taylor and his family.

Furthermore, stop passing judgment on the Bahamas, as you may mistakenly see it as an easy target. If this is another scam, I pray that our authorities deal with you all accordingly.

I never said "the 100 year old yoga retreat" mistreated Taylor, I said **Peter Goudie, the 100 year old Yoga Retreats SPOKESPERSON said, ~they cant tell GUESTS how to act**, suggesting she was not treated well by fellow attendees

Read the story like you read my comment

As to passing judgement on the Bahamas. Boy where you was when Joe Ledher was flying around here like a king or Ninenty ruled the streets or when Fred Ramsey take the bribe for the BEC engines or 120 people was getting murdered or Sun Oil get a secret fine for a massive Exuma oil spill or Clico get out the country owing millions to thousands of Bahamians or rapes were increasing by 20% or a sitting MP get charged with rape or the deputy leader of the opposition said in parliament ~contract irregularities (people getting a cheque for no work and duplicated work) is how this thing works, everybody does it or Mikey was alledgedly talking to the senior officer and the lawyer trying to get his charges dropped for 100k.

Where you was? Head down in the beautiful white sand?

I know what the Bahamas **is**, after the Metayer tapes I wonder if I even had all of the seediness right, I'm not going to pretend like you that its Paradise. I want better.

The recent news report indicates that around 8:00 p.m., police, acting on information, arrived at an abandoned structure on Seventh Terrace and discovered a male body in a state of decomposition. A post-mortem examination will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

At this time, the identity of the deceased person remains unknown. This incident underscores the importance of proper identification procedures for missing persons. In a related case, a person reported missing in the Bahamas, identified as Taylor, is a transvestite—referred to as a woman but biologically a man. This has caused confusion among the police and the public.

> Although Taylor is presented by the
> family as female, he is, in fact, a
> 42-year-old male.

Consequently, when a deceased male body is found, it complicates the identification process due to the conflicting presentation of Taylor's gender identity by his family. This highlights the challenges faced in such cases and the need for accurate identification to resolve them effectively.

Again, Please Answer this one question:-

English:
Is there a photo of the missing transvestite person resembling a male that is available to the local public so that the person you want to portray as a female, if walking around Nassau as a "man," would be easily identified as the missing person?

Creole:
Èske gen yon foto ki sanble ak moun transvesti ki disparèt la kòm yon gason ki disponib pou piblik lokal la, pou ke moun ou vle reprezante kòm yon fanm, si li t ap mache nan Nassau tankou yon "gason," ta fasil idantifye kòm moun ki disparèt la?

Clearly you were abused as a child and lack the humanity that comes naturally to those who have been properly nurtured and well-educated
Obviously you are a Christian in good community standing, and perhaps a politician.
