A MAN was sent to prison yesterday after he was accused of robbing someone at gunpoint of over $15,000 in jewellery.

Senior Magistrate Kara Turnquest Deveaux charged DiMaggio Russell, 26, with armed robbery.

Russell, while armed with a black handgun, was accused of robbing Devardo Gardiner of a gold Cuban Chain, a gold Cuban link bracelet and two gold rings on April 24 in New Providence. The stolen items have an estimated value of $17,725.
