Body of schoolgirl found

THE body of a schoolgirl has been found by police south of Cowpen Road - and Prime Minister Philip "Brave" Davis has vowed to "turn this country upside down to find the criminal who did this and bring him to justice".

Police reported the discovery this evening at Faith Avenue. Family members at the scene were in distress following the find.

Earlier, a Marco Alert has been issued for missing 12-year-old Adriel Moxey, of Bonefish Pond at Faith Avenue. Police at the scene still had to confirm the identity of the girl found at the scene.

Mr Davis posted his response to X, formerly Twitter, saying he shared "enormous grief and anger about the tragic death of a schoolchild".

Google this to confirm please; 3% of any population is sociopath. This means we have 12,000 sociopaths in this country. Maybe half are too young to be immediately dangerous. Maybe 90% have been properly socialized and thus pose no danger to most Bahamians, That still leaves about 300 males who are a risk to everyone else; how should we best identify and deal with these people? As part of the school system? I do not know, anyone have any ideas?

Policemans' are permitted to exceed the speed limit and drive on the wrong side of the road. -- What they shouldn't do is act on "rushed impulses' coming from the Boss of politicians." -- Yes?

And talk on cellphones while driving their private vehicle wearing their uniforms. All the force is , is a babysitting job for adults to get a salary they are not qualified for.

As said earlier, we have much much bigger issues than "Jonquel".

What is the worst of the worst for capital punishment? Have we described the worst of the worst? Have the politicians dealt with it? Othetwise, the politician will continue to be voted in , and we will continue to cry and have deep grief . Prayers for the family.

So sad… we are here again at this point where sick souls are desecrating the innocence of our little boys and girls—our children.

Maybe we are **all** out of touch.

My first reaction was how can a 12 year old be walking alone at night? Why didnt someone call the police when she didnt show up that night?

**The mother explained a reality that many could not imagine but likely thousands live unseen.**

They have to walk an hour to and from the main road and traverse a track road through bushes to get to and from their house. They have no fridge so this trip has to happen daily to get food. This was not said, but realistically, its likely Ariel was responsible for some of these trips, in predawn and near dusk.

The mother is very angry. Who wouldnt be, myself and the world were attacking her for a situation she could not have changed. Just two weeks ago, the boyfriend walked to a church to check out the environment Ariel would be in to make sure it was safe.

Why didnt they check on Ariel? Why didnt they call the police? Because they have no phone. They have to make the 45minute walk, likely to end up looked down upon as bad parents for having a *fresh* child who doesnt come home at night. I dont know what decision I would have made. I'd like to think I'd risk the danger of 3AM 45minute walk down a deserted road. I een in their shoes.

For me the Marco's alerts were telling. They were clearly a reactive as opposed to proactive response as they were sent in close succession with one missing person report being two weeks old. Coming across a gruesome crime scene might spur the rapid transmission of 3 alerts.

**Please Mr Davis, no more 500,000 dollar trips to Botswana, no more 200,000 dollar cars or 2.5million dollar planes because you have to keep up with African leaders who live wealthy lives. Ariels in your country, with no reliable bus service, have to walk 45 minutes back and forth, through dirt roads in the dark just to eat.**
