A MAN was remanded into custody yesterday after allegedly trying to stab his wife to death last Sunday on Carmichael Road.
Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly arraigned 35-year-old Idolet Gustave on an attempted murder charge.
The incident reportedly took place at 10pm on October 6, when Gustave allegedly stabbed his 33-year-old wife during an altercation at their Golden Isles Road residence. The victim was last reported to be in serious condition in hospital.
Gustave was informed that his case would proceed to the Supreme Court via a Voluntary Bill of Indictment (VBI).
He will remain in custody at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until his VBI is presented on December 13.
Sergeant Vernon Pyfrom served as the prosecutor.
