AFTER admitting to stealing a bag and identification last week, a middle-aged man was placed on one year of probation yesterday.
Senior Magistrate Anishka Isaacs arraigned Sean Kemp, 58, on charges of stealing and receiving. Kemp reportedly took a knapsack from someone, which contained their charger and IDs, on October 3.
Kemp pleaded guilty to stealing, while the receiving charge was withdrawn. He expressed remorse for his actions when questioned by the magistrate.
After reprimanding him for his criminal behaviour at his age, Magistrate Isaacs imposed a one-year probation period. Kemp was warned that he could face a $500 fine or two months in prison if he committed any other offence during this time.
Inspector Bowles acted as the prosecutor.
