US govt expects migrant surge to come by way of The Bahamas

A US SENATOR said the US government knows an influx of migrants from The Bahamas is going to become a “reality”.

Senator Ashley Moody from Florida, during an interview on the migrant issue, claimed Florida saw an increase of Chinese nationals illegally crossing by 8,000 percent.

The US Coast Guard reported on Wednesday interdicting a Chinese migrant aboard a paddle board approximately 25 miles from Freeport. He was transferred back to The Bahamas on Tuesday.

Senator Moody described the migrants’ routes to enter America, saying: “We know that some of these routes start in China, they fly to London, they then fly to The Bahamas, and then they take boats or other makeshift water apparatus to get into Florida. So there are points along the way where these things can happen.

“Then there’s the audacity to claim asylum when you get to the United States after there’s been so many points where you’ve stopped along the way, where presumably you would have been safe from persecution. It is an issue that I know President Trump is diving into.

“As you know, day one, he started issuing executive orders to stop the insanity of the fraudulent and false asylum claims, shut down the southern border.”

She warned there will be a surge due to shutting the US southern boarder and the US Coast Guards surge in assets. It was announced last month that there would be an increased presence including on the maritime border between The Bahamas and south Florida.

She said: “They know that this influx from the Bahamas is going to become a reality because of what’s happening. They’ve already done that. We’ve already seen actions by the coast guards, and that’s why you’re seeing results.”

Defence Force Commodore Raymond King previously told The Tribune a surge is expected in The Bahamas in response to the potential rescindment of the Temporary Protected Status and Residency Sponsorship Policies by the incoming Trump administration.

The Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Residency Sponsorship Policies provide legal protections to migrants unable to return to their home countries due to conflict, natural disasters, or other crises. The rescinding of these policies by the US could force thousands of migrants back to unstable or unsafe conditions, potentially triggering a surge in undocumented migration through the Caribbean.

And so it begins. The entire U.S. government with the support of most U.S. citizens is about to come down on The Bahamas like a ton of bricks as a result of the many transgressions committed by the corrupt politicians ***we elect*** against what should be and alway remain our most important ally, namely the United States of America. This ain't gonna be pretty.....just look at Cuba today as a classic example of what socialism and communism can do to a nation and its people. You can bet every U.S. congressman has seen or will soon see the above photo and many more to follow just like it.

Where you been mon ... the US elected a felon. The US is even more divided than the Bahamas, if that's possible. The felon has sent possibly the dumbest ambassador ever appointed to our Bahamas. The US is a mess right now, politically.

You're soon gonna be eating charred crow rather than quavaduff, unless of course you have a second passport.

It's ignorant and duped voters like you who must ultimately bear responsibility for having elected corrupt politicians who have gone out of their way to poke the wrong way one too many times the awoken fire breathing dragon that is about to exhale a major firestorm on our nation. Heaven help us all!

Well, we see what *Making America look great* looks like, basically taking away jobs from white middle class and working class people (oops we were targeting the gays, brown's and blacks), bumping up inflation through ill thought out tariffs thus making food more expensive , cutting programs that provide assistance to white working class families with disabled children (oops we were targeting gays, browns and blacks), firing the entire NTSB staff body responsible for keeping air traffic safe... but oops that plane crashed in Washington the next day so they may have had a come to Jesus moment...

"*there'll be a little pain*" he said..

Well if he does that to his red state, white supporters... I guess...

Asfaik that plane crash in DC was the heli pilots fault. ATC asked them repeatedly if they had a visual on the passenger plane and they responded affirmatively each time, but apparently they were observing the wrong aircraft...at least that is the account that I read. Like yeah the tariffs are stupid and the ones on China will affect us but trying to blame Trunk for that crash is just silly.

**But I didn't "blame" Trump for the crash. Granted I made the assumption that people would understand the NTSB function and the implications of gutting the agency**

The NTSB are the people who do crash investigations. They use the findings of those investigations to adjust safety standards if necessary. If the entire staff are sent emails to resign telling them their service is no longer needed, **who will do the investigations? The 20yr olds from Musk's team? That would be a dark day for air safety**. The reference to "*the plane crash the next day*", was to say that it likely *woke* (ironic) them up to, *hey, we might actually need these skilled people*

Do you know who resigns first when everybody is asked to resign? The best people, not the worst and the lazy, because naturally the best have the best opportunity of immediate alternate employment.. That is the point.

Musk tried this same *fire everybody, costs are too high* at Twitter. Do you recall what happened in the early days of his takeover? Twitter suddenly and inexplicably started experiencing widespread outages. Who knew? The story now comes out that he ordered some servers shutdown without any kind of risk analysis and double whammy, he fired the people with skills and knowledge to adjust operations. Do you know what the ultimate solution was? He hired them back.

His strategy makes absolutely no sense. It makes no good business sense to intentionally cause months of chaos and instability to claim at the end of the day, months post chaos, look we're stable with less people.

I've met people who glory in "*getting lots of things done*" just to say "*look at all the things we've done*". It's never a good thing without proper context.

Ok I'll reword "blame" to link. Trying to link him to the crash is silly. From everything available it seems to be just a screw up that unfortunately resulted in the loss of lives. There are plenty of close calls nobody knows about because nobody dies or no damage is done, honestly it's shocking there aren't more air accidents in the US just given the high volume of air traffic in the country. My point was shit happens sometimes and it isn't necessarily the fault of Biden, Trunk, or whoever happens to be President at that time.

Regarding the US government, yeah forcing people out MAY backfire but at the same time there is a lot of bloat in their government, just like here. I honestly don't remember very long X/Twitter outages in the aftermath of Musk's purchase, and really code wise Twitter and most social media is nothing special. Typical CRUD app that just fetches data and displays it. The only thing that may be remotely complex is the algorithm that displays posts, but even then that's not on the same tier as anything scientific or financial that usually requires specific industry expert input to get accurate results with. Infrastructure wise I'm sure they need a hell of a lot of resources to keep it online just to the sheer amount of users worldwide but I don't see why all of those people from the Dorsey era would be needed to do that either. You literally had people bragging about drinking free wine like coffee on the job, if that doesn't scream excess idk what does. Given that it's still active the trimming of staff has not been disastrous for the platform.

I do agree that I think government employees should be treated with some respect but at the same time most of them are probably not needed. Even here we only have such a bloated, useless, and inefficient government workforce because the private sector is not big enough to take them all in. At the end of the day it's the taxpayer subsidizing their salary and government employment (especially in this country) is basically just a giant welfare program that allows the beneficiary to retain some dignity. You can't expect the taxpayer to fund all of that shit forever, there comes a breaking point where it's simply impossible.

From what I see, the dangerous thing about Musk is he is silently removing people who hinder his business interests, irrespective of the downstream implications. To get blind sycophant support they call it, "*draining the swamp*: This is dangerous. We only need to look at the deep sea Titan explorer to see a similar tech forward, *ignore the pesky rules and protocols, get it out quick* innovator to see some of the darker implications. People died. And then all the experts spoke up post multi death, ~"*what he did was unsafe, protocols lengthen the process but there's a reason they're in place*"

So when I see Chester Cooper talking about a black Bahamian team that will oversee safety of Musk's space "*garbage*" landing in Exuma, our most beautiful of waterways, and how great this is for tourism.... I know Musk will do whatever he wants and noone will interject, irrespective of safety concerns. Look at the Rubis "*we were bathing in toxic oil for months??*" in Old Trail. "*I could have lost my job if I spoke up*"... And the heralded Bahamian consultant they contracted, it sounds nice, but what skills are needed to oversee this operation, and does she have them, or is it all just nice sounding I worked at XYZ PR? Dont know the industry, dont know.
