A MAN was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday after he admitted to indecently assaulting an 18-year-old female at Prince George Wharf earlier this month.
Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt Evans arraigned Mario Roker, 45, on indecent assault.
Roker reportedly grabbed an 18-year-old girl’s buttocks without her consent at Prince George Wharf at 4.45pm on February 16.
Roker pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the facts in his case.
Although Magistrate Evans credited Roker for his early plea, she admonished him describing the defendant as a “prolific offender”.
She went on to say that the defendant committed a similar offense just a year prior.
Roker was sentenced to three years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
For breaching a prior bound order from the court the defendant was fined $200 or risk 14 days in prison.
These sentences would be served concurrently.
Corporal 3738 Charlene Johnson served as the prosecutor.

Prolific off under… Do not send him to jail because jail doesn’t work for him, just like hanging doesn’t work , so we do not hang. We are so smart as a people.
