A Bahamian financial services provider has opened a new office in Abaco that will serve as its “hub for the northern Bahamas”.
Leno Corporate Services, which is marking its 15th year in operation, told Tribune Business that its latest expansion, located in A&K Plaza in Marsh Harbour, will give Bahamians improved access to a wide range of financial solutions including corporate advisory, fiduciary services, investment management and real estate development.
The office will be headed by Victoria Albury, who has more than 20 years’ experience in insurance and commercial banking, and enjoys strong ties with the Abaco community.
Sean K Longley, Leno Corporate Services’ founder, said: “Abaco is one of the fastest-growing economies in The Bahamas, and we are excited to establish this office to better serve the northern Bahamas. This has been a vision since 2018, and we are proud to see it come to fruition with Victoria leading the way.
“This new office is not just an expansion; it’s a statement of our commitment to the entire Bahamas. Our commitment extends beyond business; it’s about investing in communities and providing opportunities for growth throughout the islands.”
Senator Michael Halkitis, minister of economic affairs, added: “Leno’s presence in Abaco is a statement of confidence in this island’s resilience, its people and its future. This expansion not only supports Abaco’s economic revitalisation but also bridges the gap between Nassau and the Family Islands by bringing essential financial services closer to the people.”
Khrystle Rutherford-Ferguson, the former Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation (BCCEC) chair, who now sits on Leno’s Board of Directors, said: “This office marks the beginning of Leno’s wider expansion throughout The Bahamas.
“I’m proud to lend my expertise to a company that embodies the spirit of Bahamian innovation and service. It’s inspiring to be part of an organisation that not only dreams big but follows through with impactful actions that uplift our people.”
Ms Albury, who will spearhead the operation, added: “Having a physical presence in Abaco is a huge commitment to the community. We look forward to educating and engaging with the people of Abaco on financial planning, saving and investment strategies, ensuring they receive the same white-glove service offered in Nassau.
“Being here means we can respond directly to the needs of the northern community and build lasting relationships based on trust and excellence.” Cleora Farquharson, Leno’s vice-president of business development and client relations, added: “We are very proud to be expanding in Abaco. It’s a testament to our confidence in both our local and international financial services.
“Clients can expect the same exceptional service that they receive in Nassau. Our vision is to elevate the financial services sector across The Bahamas, and this office is a key milestone in delivering on that promise.”
The Abaco office opening comes just one week after Leno Corporate Services celebrated the opening of its $40m national headquarters, the Leno Corporate Centre, a seven-storey, 50,000 square foot property on Collins Avenue.
