THOSE who are broken in heart and spirit may find the comfort during an upcoming gathering this Saturday. Women from across the island are expected to gather at Zion South Beach for a life-changing encounter rooted in faith, healing, and community.

The “Broken No More” women’s conference, hosted by Metamorphosis Community, is set for 10am to 2pm and is expected to feature with a what organisers call a “powerful” line-up.

The event also features a Saturday morning baptism, a young adult session led by Kaylee Amber Dixon, and a personal testimony by Shanell Mackey.

Dr Deegenera Smith, founder of Metamorphosis Community, told Tribune Religion that the event is a sacred space for women to rise from emotional devastation and reclaim the fullness of who God has called them to be.

“This is for every woman who’s ever felt stuck in her pain, unseen in her struggle, or silenced by her past. Many women carry wounds from betrayal, divorce, heartbreak, and disappointments, but God never intended for us to remain broken. He heals, He restores, and He transforms. That’s what this conference is all about.”

Metamorphosis Community was launched in December 2020 after Dr Smith, a life coach, mentor, and faith-builder, walked through the pain of divorce herself. She recognised the deep emotional and spiritual needs of women navigating separation and loss needs that often go unnoticed.

“There was no safe space where I could get help with the difficult times and the different emotions I went through,” she explained. “God led me to create what I didn’t have. A space for like-minded women who want to be transformed by the Word of God.”

That calling birthed Metamorphosis, a community grounded in Romans 12:2: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The organization now serves as a lifeline to women from all backgrounds, especially those who have been divorced or separated. It offers emotional and spiritual support, sisterhood, and practical tools for rebuilding life with purpose and resilience.

“Metamorphosis is not just a ministry. It’s a movement. It promotes change, self-development, and restoration. Our goal is to empower women to embrace life’s transitions, build healthy communities, and walk boldly in their God-given assignments.”

Dr Smith there there are many women that face  the quiet battles post-divorce.

“There is financial instability, hidden debt, the pain of co-parenting, and the shame that keeps women from asking for help. Some women feel like they have to prove their strength, especially if they’re seen as leaders. But healing does not happen in isolation. God created us for community.”

Citing Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, she believes that true healing comes through connection with God, and with others who understand the journey.

At the “Broken No More” conference, the focus is on guiding women to confront what’s been holding them back, and to leave feeling whole. The theme scripture, Psalm 147:3, declares that “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” a truth Dr Smith said is central to everything they do.

Speakers for the event along with Dr Smith  include Minister Tomiko Moxey Collie, Tanya Miller and Dr Albertha Rolle.

“Our speakers are not just gifted they are anointed and equipped,” she said. “We’re here to help every woman attending recognize her brokenness and be healed from it. God is still in the business of restoration.”

Dr Smith also leads a women’s Bible study group and a discipleship class where she helps others discover their identity in Christ. Her ministry, which spans emotional, spiritual, and even financial transformation, is rooted in biblical truth and practical strategy.

She said helps women heal from the inside out and thrive toward the purpose God has for their lives.
