A WOMAN was granted bail after she allegedly assaulted another woman with a baseball bat earlier this month.
Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley arraigned Georgette Reid, 43, on assault with a dangerous instrument.
Prosecutors allege that the defendant assaulted Patricia Lyew with a baseball bat at 12.30am on March 6.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Her bail was set at $3,500 with one or two sureties. Under the terms of the defendant’s bail she must sign in at the Carmichael Road Police Station every Monday and Friday by 6pm.
Reid’s trial begins on May 13.
Inspector Deon Barr served as the prosecutor.
