IN his debut outing of the 2025-26 season for the Ole Miss Rebels, after transferring from the Kansas Jayhawks, AJ Storr scored 19 points in the win over the UL Monroe Warhawks, 86-65.
Storr shot 5-9 from the field and 4-6 from three, hitting three of his four three-pointers by halftime. The Rebels never trailed and had built a 47-28 lead by the end of the first half.
Head Coach Chris Beard had spoken earlier in the preseason about needing Storr to “be his most aggressive self every possession.”
And that he did.
After the win, Storr said: “We have to be on the same page… executing whatever he asks and going out there and playing hard.”
Storr began his collegiate career at St. John's for the Red Storm in 2022, where he averaged 8.8 points per game and earned Big East All-Freshman Team honors.
He then transferred to Wisconsin to play for the Badgers in 2023, where he averaged 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds and was named All-Big Ten Second Team.
In April 2024, he transferred to Kansas, where he averaged 6.1 points.
One year later the 22-year-old entered the transfer portal and committed to Ole Miss where as a junior he is expected to flourish this season.
