POLICE are investigating an apparent suicide attempt involving a 24-year-old man at a home on Zion Boulevard early Saturday morning.

According to initial reports, shortly after 5am the man allegedly ingested a liquid chemical and then inflicted injuries on himself with a sharp object.

He was taken to hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.
