A 29-year-old man vehemently denied assaulting a woman whose home he admitted to unlawfully entering last weekend.
Kevin Carice was accused of breaking into Jasmine Taylor’s home in Tranquil Gardens on October 19, where he allegedly physically assaulted her.
Carice appeared before Senior Magistrate Anishka Isaacs, charged with unlawful entry and assault. He pleaded guilty to unlawful entry but denied assault, insisting he never put his hands on the complainant.
Magistrate Isaacs reserved sentencing on the unlawful entry charge until the assault trial concludes.
Carice was granted $2,500 bail with one or two sureties and was warned not to contact or interfere with Ms Taylor or any witnesses, or risk having his bail revoked.
His trial is set for December 15.
Inspector Shadrach Coakley prosecuted the case.
