A 58-year-old man was killed Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Forest Drive in Abaco.

According to preliminary reports, shortly after 8pm, officers were alerted to a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a male pedestrian. When they arrived, they found the victim lying unresponsive on the southern side of the roadway, along with the driver of a white Jeep Cherokee.

Emergency Medical Services examined the victim and confirmed there were no signs of life. The driver is assisting with investigations.
