The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) has expanded its next generation fixed wireless technology to Eleuthera residents and businesses by rolling out its BTC Air Network aross the island.
Building on the prior deployment in Bimini, BTC said the Eleuthera launch reflects its continued investment in improving access to reliable, high-speed connectivity for Family Island communities and creating stronger digital foundations for growth.
“Connectivity is essential to economic growth, education, healthcare and every day life,” said Dominic Petty, BTC’s executive senior manager for Family Island technical operations.
“The launch of BTC Air in Eleuthera represents another significant milestone in our mission to deliver innovative broadband solutions throughout the country. By leveraging next generation technology, we are providing residents and businesses with access to reliable, high-speed services that support their evolving digital needs. This expansion ensures that the community has access to the tools and services that help them move forward with confidence.”
As part of its broader plans for Eleuthera, BTC also hosted its SMB Success Forum, bringing together entrepreneurs, small business owners and industry leaders for conversations on innovation, digital transformation and business growth strategies. The forum created space for discussions on how businesses can adapt, compete and grow in an increasingly digital marketplace.
