A MAN was sentenced to eight months in prison yesterday after admitting to breaking a woman’s rear door in Kemp Road and stealing her property last week.
Brunell Brown, 51, damaged the rear door of a woman’s home on Kingston Street and stole $168.04 worth of groceries on July 13.
Brown pleaded guilty to stealing and causing damage before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly Burrows.
After admonishing Brown for his criminal behaviour, the magistrate sentenced him to eight months at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
Sergeant Vernon Pyfrom prosecuted the case.
