Just one week after dominating the final standings of the 2025 Caribbean Equestrian Association Jumping Challenge, Bahamian equestrians proved that they are a force to be reckoned with in Dressage also, showing multiple top placings in the 2025 Caribbean Equestrian Association Dressage Challenges.

On the top of the leaderboard was Laura Kimble-Morley riding Michelle Stanhope’s Dheusenberg. The pair’s score of 66.923% in the Training Level 1 Test not only won them first place in that class, but also earned Kimble-Morley the title of overall Adult High Scorer in the Mini Jumping Challenge.

The achievements of Bahamas equestrians spanned the full range of technical levels offered in the competition. At the beginner level, Selin Karabas on Camperdown Equestrian Centre’s Rags to Riches won first place in the Intro A Test. On the other end of the scale in the Regional Dressage Challenge Training Level 3 Test, Michelle Stanhope riding her own Dheusenberg and Lorrinda Maura on Alana Pyfrom’s Shakespeare in Paradise were 2nd and 4th respectively out of a field of 21 riders, that included such regional notables as Cayman Island’s Pan-Am Games contender Jessica McTaggart and CAC Games bronze medalist Roberta Foster of Barbados.

Six out of the 11 CEA countries contested the Dressage Challenges this year. The Bahamas held its own in the team competitions: placing 3rd in both the Mini Dressage Challenge Childrens and Adults Team competitions.

The 2025 Dressage Challenge was judged by Alexandre Lacerda Leao of Brazil. A summary of the top Bahamas performers is as follows:
