Funeral Service for Godfrey Michael Roberts, age 79 years, of Augusta Street north, will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2020, 10:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Cedar Crest Funeral Home, Robinson Road. Officiating will be Pastor Delton Ellis. Cremation will follow.
Godfrey Michael Roberts passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31st, 2019, at A&A Home for the Aged, Pinewood Gardens. He was born September 10th, 1940, in Nassau Bahamas to Beatrice Deveaux and Howard Roberts.
He attended St. Augustine’s All Boys School. He was an independent carpenter, which allowed him to make a name for himself.
Godfrey truly lived a simple and quiet life. He is survived by his children: Laverne (Stanley) Turnquest, Allison Heastie, Marvin, Jasmine, Andre and other children; grandchildren: Lavette (Frantz) Ilfrard, Nathan Turnquest, Aaliyah Mcsweeney and Latia Heastie. Step-sister: Florene Crawley (deceased) nieces, cousins and other family and friends,
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Friday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Relatives and Friends are invited to reminisce about his life at Cedar Crest Funeral Home Chapel, Robinson Road on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
