Absolutely not! This just brings back memories of a Pindling government from the days of a drug dealing "nation for sale" -- do we want this as our legacy now?
It speaks very badly for us if this is the best candidate we could put forward as our new Governor General. Shame on the government for making fools out of all of us in front of the whole world. It's beyond embarassing.
Who would please you people? If Mother Theresa was appointed you'd complain she did not wash her hands after feeding the lepers. Lady Pindling has earned this. Think back. She assumed a role for which there was no blueprint. No path to follow, no mistakes to learn from. And she made her way, and made it well. Perhaps people may be unhappy with those that were around her, and perhaps with good reason. But they are not the ones appointed. She is. And I guarantee you, we are giving this a whole lot more thought than she is. Right now she's at home packing. Or watching someone pack. You know she don't do stuff like that.
I'm guessing you truly do not know the lady's TRUE true story. Either way, what's done is done now. More of our tax dollars to be spent on trailers of wine, champagne and other "pleasantries".....
Extremely happy with her appointment, she will do a great job, no doubt in my mind. There is no one better than she is to fill the post. I am aware that Mr. Pindling made some mistakes , so have I. But the good he did for the Bahamas far out weighs any wrong he may have done. What they have tried to do with Lady Pindling, they did to Mrs. Ruby Nottage. But some one has said. "The best revenge is living well" and they are both doing just that. Those who do not agree will just have to accept it
We keep rewarding bad apples.. What u expect when this government legalizing Web shops that was illegal for years.. Next they should put ninety Knowles picture on the $2 bill
